I did some more test payments and figured out what the problem was. In the paypal E Reservations settings I had the Secure Merchant ID # and I was getting the error email and it was showing unpaid in the dashboard. I changed the Merchant ID to my merchant paypal email address and everything works. There are no error messages and the dashboard correctly shows paid after the transaction.
