The form gets generated by completely customizable form templates. To configure them go to the settings and then to form. In the first row you’re able to navigate between and add new form templates. On the right you’ll see tables of the available form fields divided into the three groups date, information and special in an accordion menu. To add a field just click on it in the table. The last menu in the accordion menu is for format and html related functions.

Each field in the form is represented by [tags] in the forms editor. You can click on them to edit their options, delete them and add different ones to totally change the appeal and working of your form. All other content in the form is HTML to structure it. If you don’t know any HTML just copy an existing block and replace the label and field. You can remove the complete small line if you don’t want a description.

Generally each form has to provide the data arrival, departure, resource, name and email to the system in any way. Every other field is optional.

For arrival and departure the hour and minute fields are optional. An alternative to the departure date is to use the billing units field which is a select field to let your guest select the amount of hours, days or weeks he want to stay. It can be combined with the departure hour and minute fields as well.

The resource can be a select field with an or a hidden field if you want a form for one particular resource or just allow the selected one from the widget or the search form.

With adults and children fields you get select fields to ask for them. The country field is a select with all countries in english.

With custom fields you can add any type of form element to the form: Text fields, text areas, sliders, number fields, select fields, radio buttons or a checkboxes. The entered or selected information gets attached to the reservation and can be seen in admin, send in emails and added to invoices. They can also change the price with multipliers and conditions. You can define them under settings -> custom and add them to the form afterwards.

With hidden fields you can dictate any fields value or take over the selection from the widget or search form. The value can be displayed or hidden from the guest. This can be helpful to make forms just for an event with a fixed date range or for special offer with fixed data like amount of persons or the resource. If you add a hidden field you’ll have to delete the related normal field.

The captcha field is to prevent spam reservations by bots with one of these annoying captcha images. It’s not complicated to read and only has four characters. There’s no reported case and it won’t help against humans faking reservations so only start using it if you encounter problems of that sort.

Display price will show a live calculated price of the forms data. Display error will display all errors in one box additionally to the normal error messages underneath the fields.
